Visual effects update

With Scott's help I determined that the problem was within Quicktime 
itself.  Even though I had the most updated version of it.  I updated 
all the pieces I had and added all the pieces I didn't, and this 
fixed the visual effects not working problem.

So all is well and working fine, but...

It concerns me a bit that if the calls aren't internal, they rely on 
external factors, that my users could experience the same problem :-(

Maybe it was just a fluke that my Quicktime got broken, and that it 
doesn't happen often out in Cyberworld, hopefully.......
