Bizarro behavior explained

Oh now THIS got me!  I noticed that when launching MC, instead of 
highlighting the icon in the dock, it created a new one.  When I 
checked the source of the one I'd clicked on, it showed the newly 
installed version.  But when I clicked on the second icon, it showed 
the old version in the trash!  I had deleted the dock icon upon 
trashing the old version, and created a new dock icon when 
reinstalling.  Yet the new icon opened the old deleted version anyway.

Am assuming that if I now go back and change gTempie back to gTemp, 
it will work.  Aaarrrggghhh!  This thing had me going all day long!

I had kinda wondered why my MC preferences hadn't reverted to the 
defaults.... guess that shoulda been a clue, eh?
