While doing my round in the car design industry, I stumbled on a Pigeot car
design contest and they mentioned the free multiplatform

Quite surprising! Quit scripteable! Nice online tutorial. 
Non-standard GUI but apparently with great flex...

Can be used for movies and game creation too. Let's not mention guis ;)

The plugin scripts do some really amazing things and the renders seem high
quality!
