OSX Package Mod?

Anyone know if it's possible to rename the MC app contained within the OSX
package of a standalone?

I tried renaming the app to "brandx" and setting the BundleExecutable string
to "brandx" but the standalone doesn't launch.  If I change the name and
string to "MetaCard" it runs fine.  Will it just flat out not work unless
it's named "MetaCard"?
