Mac-keyboard on PC problem

Ever since I started using MC 2.5 I've had this problem

When I do work on my projects with my Windows box, the keyboard acts like my Mac keyboard--it took a little while to get used to, but I didn't mind (much). But now I want to deploy my project among my students and they are almost 100% Windows users. They will be confused by this.

Any suggestions?
(I've already adjusted the look and feel in preferences--no good)
