There is a missing quotation mark in front of the RGB value, and a
double quoatation mark at the end of the word "red". Probably this is
just a typo, but if you did copy/paste the commands into the email then
check to make sure the values are properly quoted.
I've never seen anything like you describe, by the way, so there must be
something else going on.
