I don't use Japanese on MC, I do use CJK languages on RR. There have been
reported problems with some kanji, in particular those that include a return
char like 'ue' (up). I haven't heard anything about a problem with 'hon'
however. Are you using the unicodetext property?
set the textfont of fld "kanji" to "Osaka,unicode"
set the unicodetext of fld "kanji" to item 3 of line tline of fld "tText"
