Can't Build Standalones in OS X

I can verify that it's possible to build a standalone using MC 2.4.3

That's the version I'm currently using, and I have no troubles 
creating a standalone.

Only trouble I (still) have is to prevent Metacard from changing my 
stack icons (the standalone icon is fine).
