Depends on the filename extension:
.txt = NotePad (very basic text editor)
.wri = WordPad (basic editor with some formatting)
.doc = Word (full blown editor)
You don't *need* to use an extension but this is required if you want
somebody to be able to double-click the file and have it open.
Also note that you can use a little more efficient script to create
your document:
put something into url ("file:" & someFile)
