not sure how to use the info in MetaCard as a 4-character code. So far,
saving the full description as a property seems like the only option.
It's interesting though; I wonder why the descriptions are in base64

It looks like we would have to either use the four-char code for the effect 
only (with default parameters), or learn to modify Metacard's own returned 
format. An external could probably parse Metacard's returned value pretty 
easily (if it is what I think it is). Maybe one late night sometime soon...
