Geoff,
I was in desperate need for an advanced animation tool for moving around 
rendered 3D characters. I ended up with Multimedia Fusion from ClickTeam. I 
figured I could do the whole game in MMF but some part got too complicated 
for it (or my ability was limited) so I made it in MetaCard in stead. 
Faster and easier. They do work well together though.
