Quicktime flicker problem

I need to find some way to have a quicktime player object in a group that is
spread across multiple cards and go let the user navigate from card to card
without making the quicktime content flicker? Setting the buffer thing isn't
an option because forces everything to a crawl. I'm using Mac OS 9.2. On
G3's and G4's.
   Any/all suggestions appreciated.
