Australia has a very bad history of forced immigration and emigration!

Political rant follows:
  Today my government is deporting an American peace activist, Scott 
Parkin, for being a threat to our national interest. He has been 
participating in some peaceful protests about Australia's involvement 
in the occupation of Iraq, and in a protest outside the office of 
Haliburton in Sydney. The new security laws do not require any 
specification of the grounds for deciding that someone is a threat, 
and apparently Scott Parkin has not even been told what he is 
supposed to have done. I guess Haliburton doesn't like the attention.

We have lost a lot of moral ground and civil freedom since John 
Howard became friendly with George W.

I dare say I will be deported now...
