UBUNTU, UBUNTU & UBUNTU

I am presently making small educational stacks for a
teaching program. The program's computers run Ubuntu Linux:
as a result I have a few problems:

1. How to get Dreamcard stacks to run with the LINUX player
. . .

or

2. How to get Metacard standalones made from the Dreamcard
stacks to run in Ubuntu.

the solution should not just please me!!! as Macedonia and
South Africa are "falling" to the fairly inexorable march
of Ubuntu.
