Roger-
Well, you piqued my interest, so I had a look. Feedback:
Once I got used to the interface it was easy to use. The shift-click
thing was not at all intuitive, nor was the idea that dragging a card
onto a basket was the way to get it off the main screen area. Of
course, now that I have it figured out it makes perfect sense.
I like the drag transparency. The Luddite streak in me loves the index
card appearance of the note cards.
It's not clear to me what the "Show Tools" menu item is supposed to
do. The Tools palette is shown at all times. If there's a way not to
show it, I haven't found it yet.
A search feature would be a nice addition. I can see this getting to
the point where I've added a lot of data and can't quite remember
where I filed something. Or want to cross-reference something,
possibly with cards in other baskets. Or other major categories. Or
just can't remember whether or not I've already files something.
I might, for example, want to explore interlocking directorates by
entering each by company and then searching on a director's name to
see what hits come up.
The "Tag reference" and "Tag URL" features look very useful, but my
first attempt at trying to use them caused the IDE to lock up (a Tag
reference to a runrev stack).
The Help box says you can use the Tools bar to quit the application,
but I don't see that as an option - it's either the app menu or the
windows decoration.
Is it possible to delete a basket once you've created it?
...and, of course, I think the ability to have baskets within baskets
would make this even more useful.
