Introduction/comment on taxonomy question

	We should not forget about the lower levels in Bloom's system.  A 
student who cannot multiply or find a verb is going to have great 
difficulty reaching the synthesis level in trigonometry or making 
choices of rhetorical style in their own writing.  We're finding that 
out in Language Arts.  After a decade or two of teaching the students 
to apply such higher order writing skills as extended metaphor and 
circular structure, without teaching about nouns and verbs, our 
students can't construct grammatically correct sentences.
	On the other hand, I admit that it would be satisfying if I could 
write more stacks that addressed the high levels of Bloom.
