Where is Everybody?

Hi Mark,
I am still here. Being a mom of three and a wife is joyful and very
time consuming. I've also somehow gotten the courage to start
posting to the New York Times - Reader's Opinion Forum on Human
Origins. There is such fierce debate about who's right and who's
wrong, I feel we'll never evolve past the emotional intelligence of
an eight year old (which Piaget says will say "I know" no matter what
you ask them, and would rather be right than know the truth
anyday).......
I keep thinking if they would just add the lessons of the Hebrew
nation in dealing with oppression in the history and social studies
curriculum (which they often do already in University history
courses), they could stop fighting about it in the Science
curriculum. But you can't tell anybody anything without opposition!
I'm tired, but I'm learning a lot about genetics, Kant, and a lot of
other folks from the posts on the list. I've had the most fun going
and researching the childhood influences of the scientists they talk
about ( I only got the summary for the test while in school). They
try to run you off if they can't convince you what to believe, but
I'm used to that.
I haven't forgotten about Runtime and I have stack of notes I hope to
call the "Newbie Chronicles." I'd like to say what I learned first
and who and what was helpful in a little tutorial, but I haven't
gotten back to it yet.
How are things with you?

I haven't received a digest from this list in weeks. Is it me, or
has the list gone away?
