Idea Stack for history

Marty,

I'm still trying to figure out the things I want to add to it.  I am  
hoping it can be customized for what the student is working on and be  
interesting to them without having a lot of 'ready-made' graphics.   
My preference is for student created art or digital art (but I know  
that is time consuming).....I would love to see a map too, that was  
transparent until you rolled over parts of it.  Still thinking  
through. Your suggestions are appreciated.

If you don't want to reinvent the wheel (nothing wrong with it,
especially using RR:-), check out TimeLiner by Tom Snyder Productions.
Some of our lower and middle school teachers have been using it
very successfully with their students.  It's easy to include
graphics, sounds, movies, and to present a timeline in a number of
formats.

Of course, a timeline made with RunRev would be much more
flexible, as you could incorporate quizzes and such.  TimeLiner
currently lets you add web links to events, but not links to
other software (such as a quiz created with RunRev).
