An apology and an explanation

First, I'm sorry. I screwed up. This list was supposed to be set to send
only announcements and not allow member posts - it wasn't.
Secondly, it should have screened out unsubscribe messages. It didn't, and
I'm still investigating why not.
Thirdly, every email address on the list was sent to us via our website
education pages, from the form which asks if you want to be kept informed
about educational developments for Revolution. If you didn't put your email
address there, somebody did. This was our attempt to send you that
information, as requested.
Fourthly, I think I have now unsubscribed everyone who asked me to. I have
also set the list to not allow member postings. If you are still on this
list and you don't want to be, send an email to heather at runrev.com (not to
the list, it won't get through) with "unsubscribe educational announcements"
in the subject line. Please ensure it is a reply to the offending email so
that I'm definitely unsubscribing the email address you are signed up with.
If we set the list to be a discussion group, I will first unsubscribe
everyone, then send an invitation out to ask if you want to subscribe to a
discussion group.
I hope this goes some way to remedying the inconvenience. Unfortunately I
was completely offline and uncontactable yesterday so I couldn't put this
fire out earlier.
Regards,
Heather
